Zotero – enden for endnote?

futurezone.orf.at gør opmærksom på et nyt spændende Firefox plugin: Zotero – The next generation research tool. Et plugin som ifølge oplysningerne på webstedet har følgende fortrinlige egenskaber:

Automatic capture of citation information from web pages
Storage of PDFs, files, images, links, and whole web pages
Flexible notetaking with autosave
Fast, as-you-type search through your materials
Playlist-like library organization, including saved searches (smart collections) and tags
Platform for new forms of digital research that can be extended with other web tools and services

Formatted citation export (style list to grow rapidly)
Free and open source

Zotero er altså åben, fri software og er udviklet ved Center for History and New Media der George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia.
Der er stadig tale om beta software (og det plugin’et fungerer kun i Firefox 2.*) men det skal jeg helt sikkert have afprøvet.
